Signing up to volunteer is a great way to get involved and be the smiling face of the DMF. as a DMF volunteer you are an important part of the festival and are vital to the festival’s future success. It requires a good energy and a can-do attitude. Must be 18yrs or older to apply.
The DMF has 3 different shift options to choose from. Shifts are broken down into 5hr sections and can be completed on different days or in a row depending on your preference.
1. 10 hrs: 1 DMF Volunteer T-Shirt, 1 General Admission Parking Pass, 1 General Admission Wristband.
2. 15 hrs: 1 DMF Volunteer T-Shirt, 1 General Admission Parking Pass, 1 General Admission Wristband, 1 Primitive Camping Pass, 1 DMF Merchandise T-Shirt, 1 Meal Voucher
3. 20 hrs: 2 DMF Volunteer t-shirt, 1 General Admission Parking Pass, 2 General Admission Wristbands, 1 Primitive Camping Pass, 1 DMF Merchandise T-Shirt, 2 Meal Vouchers.
Volunteers need to arrive 15 min before the start of each assigned shift to get checked in by the volunteer coordinator then to meet with the active volunteer on shift. This allows for any new information to be passed along and an ease of transition during shift change.
Each volunteer will be assigned to only one of the listed categories for the duration of the current festival year.
Volunteers greet campers as they enter the festival, answering camper questions, help guide campers to their assigned areas, sell additional tickets upon request, place festival wristband(s) on each attendee as well as place parking pass on their vehicle.
Volunteers greet attendees as they enter the gate, answer questions as needed, check for festival wristband on each attendee entering, check that concert goers have a clear bag for their belongings, provide location information for clear bag purchase and directions to the different areas inside the gates. volunteers need to be able to stand for extended periods and have a positive demeanor.
Volunteers help answer questions of attendees, provide direction to different areas of the festival, maintain lost & found, provide positive customer service.
Volunteers help keep our festival grounds clean. They pick up debris inside the concert area, recycling plastic / cans / paper, throwing away trash, and delivering found items to lost & found. Volunteers need to be able to stand/walk for extended periods as well as be able to bend and lift up to 10lbs. dmf will provide gloves, trash bags, and trash pick-up sticks.
Volunteers man their assigned entry point checking for correct festival wristbands before allowing entry. direct concert goers on foot or in vehicles to the correct areas. Volunteers may have to stand or sit for extended period.
EVENT SETUP/TEAR DOWN:
Event setup and tear down includes items such as, but not limited to, building fence, putting up tents, putting up snow fence, driving t-posts into the ground, hanging signage, setting up tables, and chairs. must be able to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet for a long period of time.
Volunteers sell festival, camping, and parking tickets, as well as upgrade current festival amping tickets as needed and place appropriate wristbands on DMF patrons. Volunteers need to have good people skills, a positive demeanor, and basic math skills. DMF will provide ticketing equipment and calculators.
Volunteers greet attendees as they enter the grounds, answer questions, help guide vehicles to available parking spaces, provide location information for different areas of the festival, and sell / place parking passes on vehicles. volunteers need to be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
